Morelull and Shiinotic are two Fairy and Grass-type Pokemon from the Alola region in Pokemon GO. Niantic debuted them during the 2022 Festival of Lights event, then introduced their respective Shiny versions at the same event, the following year. Given their rarity in the game, only a few lucky players can get their hands on these alternate-colored variants.

Regardless of its form, Morelull's evolution is triggered by feeding them the required number of Candies. You can easily evolve a Morelull into a Shiinotic in Pokemon GO, with the help of this guide.

Your regular Morelull needs 50 Morelull Candies to evolve into Shiinotic in Pokemon GO. If you don't have enough, you can set your Morelull as a Buddy and adventure together. A Buddy Pokemon can find its Candies in the wild. The more you travel with it, the more consumables you can farm to evolve your Morelull.

The only other way to get the final evolution line is to catch it in the wild.

Those unable to kick off the evolution process can participate in Pokemon GO events like the Morelull Spotlight Hour to collect Morelull Candies. The event lasts one hour, offering trainers multiple wild encounters with the featured Pokemon. You may even come across a Shiny Morelull if you're lucky.

The best way to get a powerful Shiinotic would be to obtain a good IV Morelull and then evolve it. The remaining Morelull with bad IVs can be transferred to Professor Willow in exchange for Candies. You can also trade Morelull or Shiinotic with your GO friends to boost Candy gain.

Once you capture a Shiny Morelull, feed it 50 Candies to evolve it into a Shiny Shiinotic. Both forms have the same evolution procedure, but catching a Shiny Morelull in the first place can be challenging.

The Spotlight Hour Pokemon event of June 2024 features both regular Morelull and Shiny Morelull. If you want to encounter them in the wild, activate the Lure Module and Incense in Sunny or Cloudy weather conditions.
