Cake Hat Pikachu in Pokemon GO is one of the many costumed versions of the Pokemon mascot that is available during special events in Niantic's mobile game. It is one of the more unique variants of the critter as it appears annually during the anniversary celebrations of the AR-based title.

The latest in this line of arrivals of Cake Hat Pikachu in Pokemon GO is during the 8th Anniversary Party event. The program starts at 10 AM local time on June 28, 2024, and will go on till 8 PM local time on July 3, 2024.

How to get Cake Hat Pikachu in Pokemon GO?

As of June 2024, there are three ways of getting a Cake Hat Pikachu in Niantic's mobile game. They are as follows:

1) Wild encounters

Cake Hat Pikachu will appear more frequently in the wild during Pokemon GO's 8th Anniversary Celebration event. To find it here, you must walk around with the game running on your phone.

To boost the rate of wild spawns around you, utilize items like Lure Modules at PokeStops and Incense. This will increase your chance of running into special costumed Pocket Monsters like Cake Hat Pikachu.

You can also use auto-catchers in Pokemon GO for a chance to capture this costumed version of Pikachu when you are not actively playing the game.

2) One-star raids

Cake Hat Pikachu will be one of the One-star raid bosses during Pokemon GO's Anniversary celebrations event. Here, it will have a CP of 3,277 and 600 HP to its name. Therefore, any reasonably powerful team consisting of Ground-type Pocket Monsters and attacks.

Some of the best counters to consider are Groudon, Garchomp, and Swampert.

3) Trade

If you are unable to capture a Cake Hat Pikachu in Pokemon GO, you can easily trade it to add to your collection. However, since it is not registered to your Pokedex, it will count as a Special Trade.
