How to get Dynamax Machop in Pokemon GO

You can encounter and capture Dynamax Machop in the following ways, as of December 2024:

• Trade

2-star Max Battles

You can find Machop take over Power Spots around you from 6 am to 9 pm local time between December 3 to 10, 2024. Moreover, you can challenge the creature by spending 400 Max Particles, as long as you are within an 80-meter radius of the Power Spot. Don't worry if you can't beat it though, as the cost is only incurred if you emerge victorious.

Machop is a mono-Fighting-type creature, so Flying, Psychic, and Fairy-type moves deal super effective damage to it. Your best bet is using Charizard with Wing Attack or Air Slash for Flying-type damage or Metagross with Zen Headbutt for Psychic-type damage.

Given the tier of these battles, the Charged Move you run on your attackers shouldn't matter too much, as a couple of Max Moves will be enough to take down the Power Spot boss.

Trade

If you can't find Dynamax Machop appearing in Max Battles around you, ask a friend to trade it with you. As long as you have Machop registered on your Pokedex, it should be a simple process.

If your friend unlocks Max Guard and/or Max Spirit, these moves will remain active once you complete the trade. However, any powered-up Max Moves will be reset to the default state.
