You may also be able to find a shiny Treecko while searching for a standard Treecko. The latter has a higher spawn rate than the former.

Activate Lure Modules and Incense in Treecko’s biome during sunny weather conditions to maximize the effect of a wild spawn boost. Doing this can help you get both forms of Treecko. You can also spin PokeStops or Gyms to receive Field Research tasks, which offer encounters with the Hoenn Starters.
