The Pokemon GO 8th Anniversary Party is a celebration featuring different Starter Pocket Monsters, including those from Kalos. As soon as the event kicks off, the Kalos Starters (Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie) will become encounterable to all players. You will also be able to get your hands on the critters' shiny variants.

The first mainline games to introduce Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie are Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. The creatures have quite a reputation, so many Pokemon GO trainers are keen to obtain them.

To get Chespin and its shiny form in the Pokemon GO 8th Anniversary Party event, you can either catch them in the wild or complete the Field Research tasks. The likelihood of you encountering a shiny Chespin is relatively low due to its meager spawn rate. However, you can find a regular Chespin easily.

Sunny weather improves Chespin and its shiny form's rate of spawn. You can also use Lure Modules and Incense to boost the spawn rate.

Lastly, you can receive Field Research tasks, which award encounters with the Kalos Starters, by spinning PokeStops or Gyms.

During the 8th Anniversary Party event, you can activate Lure Module and Incense to find Fennekin and its shiny form in the wild. These in-game items have the power to boost the spawn rate of a wild Pokemon. Moreover, if you play the game in Sunny Weather conditions, you’ll enhance the appearance rate of the Fire-type Pokemon.

Make sure you spin PokeStops or Gyms while partying to receive a Field quest, which offers encounters with all Kalos Starters in the game. However, encountering a shiny variant will be difficult.

However, finding a shiny Froakie will be challenging, as it has a low wild appearance rate. Even so, try to be in locations with Rain Weather conditions, as this boosts the spawn rate of a wild Froakie.

Lastly, all of the Kalos Starters can be encountered by completing the Field Research tasks of the anniversary celebration.
