It is hard to come across a Pocket Monster as unique as Maushold in Pokemon GO. Originally introduced in the ninth generation, Maushold, The Family Pokemon, is a Normal-type critter. It sports an interesting design with four mouse-like critters huddled together. If you think it looks familiar to Tandemaus, well, that's because they belong to the same family.
In this article, we will walk you through everything about Maushold in Pokemon GO. Unfortunately, Maushold cannot be Shiny in Pokemon GO.
How to get Maushold in Pokemon GO
As of writing, there are a couple of ways to acquire Maushold in your Pokemon GO account:
Check out the current Pokemon GO raid bosses that you can encounter in-game
- Evolving Tandemaus by feeding Tandemaus Candies
- Trading with a friend
For the first route, you must first catch a Tandemaus in Pokemon GO. With the arrival of the Ultra Unlock: Better Together event, Tandemaus will make its debut in Pokemon GO. You can catch it while using the Party Play feature. So, get hold of a few friends, create a Party in Pokemon GO, and play the game. During one of your adventures, you might chance upon Tandemaus.
This mouse-like Pokemon can also be obtained from Field Research Tasks and Timed Research Task rewards. Furthermore, trades are another path you can choose to walk to get a Tandemaus.
Note that you will not get Candies while trading. So, you must either invest Rare Candies or make the Pokemon your active Buddy Partner and go on adventures to earn the Candies needed for the evolution.
Once you have Tandemaus and 50 Candies, you can evolve it into Maushold. In addition to this, you can also get a Maushold in Pokemon GO by trading with your friend.
When will Shiny Maushold be added to Pokemon GO?
As of now, you cannot get Shiny Maushold in Pokemon GO. There is no mention of a Shiny variant of this creature by Niantic. So, it is not possible to determine when Shiny Maushold will come to Pokemon GO.
When it does get released in-game, Maushold might have a Shiny rate of 1-in-512 as a wild spawn. It might even enjoy boosted Shiny odds of 1-in-64.
