While some trainers are opting to use Quagsire or Swampert, many have their sights set on Milotic, one of the best of its type in the main series.

Many players may also be looking to find Milotic's shiny variant. While these types of Pocket Monsters do not provide any tactical advantage, many players like collecting them to show them off in the Battle League due to their high rarity. Thankfully for trainers, Milotic's shiny form is available in Pokemon GO.

While Milotic can spawn in the wild under very rare circumstances, this should not be the way Pokemon GO players go about finding the critter. This Pocket Monster may also make an appearance as a Three-Star Raid Boss in the future, as it has a few times in the past. As such, some trainers may want to wait for this to happen again to make sure they get the creature with higher-than-average stats.

However, the most consistent way to get a Milotic in Pokemon GO would be to evolve one from a Feebas. Feebas is a fish Pokemon similar to Magikarp. It can be found in many of the same places: beaches and around other bodies of water. It can also be hatched from 10 kilometer eggs, which can be found from spinning the photo disk at any Pokestop or gym location.

Feebas is a relatively uncommon creature, so grinding enough encounters to get the 100 Feebas candies required to evolve it might be a bit difficult and time consuming.

Luckily, players can assign Feebas as their Buddy Pokemon to generate these candies while they move. They can also participate in the Battle League to grind for Rare Candies received after winning a certain number of battles.

Thankfully, 100 Feebas candies is the only requirment for evolving Feebas. This may come as a relief to fans of the main series, where evolving Feebas is considerably more difficult.

Shiny Milotic itself cannot be captured in the wild. However, this may change if Niantic decides to add the critter to the game as a potential encounter for completing its respective Raid Battle.

This means that players will need to get lucky with Feebas encounters if they want to eventually obtain a shiny Milotic. The best way to go about farming one is to hatch 10 kilometer eggs since Feebas is a very rare creature to encounter in the wild. However, this may change if Niantic implements a Community Day or a similar event for the critter.
