Trainers can obtain Shadow Suicune and Shiny Shadow Suicune in Pokemon GO by emerging victorious in 5-star Shadow Raid Battles. However, encountering the latter is challenging. The Shadow variant made its debut during a Team GO Rocket Event on July 10, 2020. Its Shiny form was released on May 4, 2024. Legendary Pokemon like Suicune gained immense popularity in the community due to their power and design.

1) Win Shadow Suicune 5-star raids

One can exploit Shadow Suicune's weaknesses in 5-star raids—Electric- and Grass-type attacks that deal 160% damage. Therefore, those who will build counters of these types in these raids will be super-effective against the Shadow raid boss, because of the STAB effect.

Trainers can, however, rely on the trade mechanic to possess the purified variant of this Pocket Monster. Trading a Shadow Pokemon is impossible in Pokemon GO.
