Grimer wearing a Party Hat is making its Pokemon GO debut at the 8th Anniversary Party event in June 2024. The event will begin at 10 am local time on June 28, 2024, and will run until 8 pm local time on July 3, 2024. To celebrate the success, Niantic is returning different Starter Pokemon from Kanto, Kalos, Hoenn, and more. For the first time, the Party Hat Grimer family and their Shiny forms will appear in the game.

This event is specially designed for fans who have yet to capture starters or who have yet to gather Candies for evolution and power-up. However, the main highlight is the introduction of Shiny and regular variants of Grimer and Muk rocking Party Hats.

If you want to get a Shiny Party Hat Grimer in it, find suitable locations in your vicinity with Cloudy weather conditions. The Cloudy weather increases the number of times a Party Hat Grimer can appear in the wild. So, being present in this is critical to encountering the Shiny form.

That said, keep in mind that none of the methods guarantee a meet-up with Shiny Party Hat Grimer. Still, the way to encountering Standard Grimer rocking a Party Hat costume applies to finding its shiny counterpart.
