Toxtricity in Pokemon GO has been one of the most discussed subjects among players since it was revealed as the star of the Wild Area event. However, with the in-person rendition of this event just a couple of days away, many will soon have access to it.

Pokemon GO Wild Area: Global, on November 23 and 24, 2024, is the perfect opportunity to get your hands on Toxtricity in Pokemon GO. You have the following options, as far as ways to get Toxtricity goes:

Thankfully, it has been confirmed that Toxtricity's shiny form will debut alongside it, which is a rare occurrence in Pokemon GO. During its debut in the Wild Area event, Toxtricity will be everywhere. Not only can players find it commonly through Max Battles that will be available during the event, but its Gigantamax form will also be making an appearance as the Wild Area's ultimate challenge. With the in-person event taking place before Toxel comes to the game, Toxtricity will not be added to any trainer's collection without a fight.

Toxtricity will only be a Max Battle or Gigantamax Battle Raid Boss, but its Dynamax form can also be encountered during the in-person Wild Area event. Through completing other Max Battles, players can make progress on a research task that rewards them with a Dynamax Toxtricity.

When Toxel comes to Pokemon GO on November 18 as a part of the Into the Wild event, players will have a much easier time getting their hands on Toxtricity, as Toxel can be hatched and evolved. However, it is unclear how the game will determine what form Toxel will evolve into. Its Amped yellow form, or its Low-Key blue form.

Toxtricity is an Electric and Poison-type Pokemon, meaning it has a massive weakness to Ground-type attacks. Thankfully, Niantic is giving players many chances to get their hands on an optimal counter with Dynamax Drilbur on November 15, the day before the in-person event. Driblur evolves into Excadrill, a Ground and Steel-type that will be perfectly suited for taking on this boss both offensively and defensively.

Tips for finding Shiny Toxtricity in Pokemon GO

Shiny Toxtricity will be a bit of a challenge to find. Since it's unavailable in the wild it should be shiny boosted, putting the odds of getting one through Max Battles at around 1-in-512.

Players with the event ticket will have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Pokemon. It is not communicated clearly whether or not the Toxtricity Raid Bosses will benefit from this boost as well, but that is likely. If this is the case, the Wild Area event is the best chance players have for finding a Shiny Toxtricity.
