Pokemon GO is filled to the brim with all sorts of monsters to catch, battle, collect, and trade. One of the many types of monsters fans have grown attached to over the years is Starter Pokemon. These creatures come in groups of three with one being a Grass-type, another being a Water-type, and the final being a Fire-type.
Typhlosion is the final evolution of one of Johto's Starter Pokemon and has come to the attention of many trainers as of late. Many players may be wondering how they can easily get one of these creatures for their collection, while others could be thinking about whether they can catch its shiny variant. Thankfully, its shiny variant is present in Pokemon GO.

Typhlosion is the final part of a three-stage evolutionary line. This means players will need a minimum of 125 Cyndaquil candies if they want to evolve a Typhlosion in Pokemon GO. Since Typhlosion is not a common raid boss and an even rarer wild spawn, players will have the best chance of getting a Typhlosion by evolving one.
Thankfully, as of this writing, the best time to grind for Cyndaquil candies is during the June 2024 Cyndaquil Community Day Classic event set to take place on June 22, 2024, at 2 pm local time. This event will drastically increase the spawn rate and candy drops of Cyndaquil in the wild, making it incredibly easy to farm for these resources.
This will also be the best time to evolve a Typhlosion, as those that reach the final stage of the evolutionary line before the event's conclusion will receive the event-exclusive Blast Burn attack. This attack is the best Fire-type attack in the game, so trainers interested in using Typhlosion for competitive battles will not want to miss this chance.
Best way to get Shiny Typhlosion in Pokemon GO
Since players could go their entire Pokemon GO careers without seeing a Typhlosion spawn in the wild, they will be better off evolving a Shiny Cyndaquil if they want to get a Shiny Typhlosion. Thankfully, the Community Day Classic event featuring Cyndaquil will sport an increase in the base form's shiny odds, so obtaining a Shiny Cyndaquil should be very easy for most players.
If players want to increase their chances of finding a Shiny Cyndaquil, hunting in sunny weather with an Incense active will greatly assist the cause. Of course, being in an area with tons of lured Pokestops will also help, so hunters should try to find places that fit this criteria.
Once players have their Shiny Cyndaquil, they will need to farm for the total 125 Cyndaquil candies to evolve it completely into Typhlosion. There is also the chance that Shiny Typhlosion appears as a potential raid boss in the distant future, so it may be easier to get from there.
