Yes, Shiny Tyrantrum is available, and the same methods that help you get Tyrantrum in Pokemon GO are used to obtain the former. This Rock- and Dragon-type Pocket Monster is a strong attacker for PvE battle formats. Niantic introduced the regular form as part of the Adventure Week 2022 event. The same event of 2023 debuted Shiny Tyrantyrm, a rarer variant.
Tyrantrum and its shiny counterpart are not easily encountered in the game. That said, here is a guide on how trainers can get their hands on these monsters.

Many players will find encountering Tyanturm in Pokemon GO a demanding chore. It is because there are only three ways to go about it.
- Catch in the wild
- Evolve a Tyrunt
- Trade
1) Catch Tyrantrum in the wild
Tyrantrum can be found in the wild, but it is an uncommon spawn. This means, one has to visit their natural environment in-game, which are areas experiencing Partly Cloudy and Windy weather. Once you’re here, you should attach Lure Modules to the PokeStops and activate Incense to boost the wild Tyrantrum's spawn rate.
This is a strategic play to obtaining the creature, and throughout the Shared Skies season, Tyrantrum will experience increased wild spawn rates.
2) Evolve a Tyrunt
When a Tyrunt is fed 50 Candies during the daytime, it evolves into a Tyrantrum in Pokemon GO. This critter can not evolve at night, unlike Pokemon GO’s Aurorus. For many, collecting the Candies for the evolution is a challenge, but one can do something about this.
You can make Tyrunt a Buddy Pokemon; when a Pocket Monster is assigned a buddy role it can automatically search for its Candies in the wild. Participating in events like Adventure Week 2024 qualifies trainers to accumulate these consumables by catching numerous Tyrunt.
3) Trade
In GO, trade is a mechanic that allows players to acquire Pocket Monsters from their friends’ accounts. If the above methods are helpful, tell your friend to trade a Tyrantrum in Pokemon GO.
Both traders will need to spend a certain amount of Stardust in the process.
