The Charged Embers Hatch Day in Pokemon GO is a short yet exciting event that will give trainers a chance to hatch rare Pokemon with added bonuses. This event will run from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time on Sunday, December 29, 2024. During this three-hour window, 2-km Eggs will feature Elekid and Magby more frequently, with increased chances of Shiny variants.

Additionally, Eggs placed inside incubators will only require half the usual distance to hatch. Let’s dive into the calculations to determine how many Eggs you can realistically hatch and how to maximize your progress.

There are three types of Incubators to consider:

  • Unlimited Incubator: Orange in color, it can be used infinitely but only one Egg at a time.
  • Limited Incubator: Blue in color, it can be used three times before breaking.
  • Super Incubator: Purple in color, it hatches Eggs 33% faster than a Limited Incubator and has three uses.

While there’s no maximum number of Incubators you can possess, only one Incubator can be used per Egg. Additional Incubators can be purchased with PokeCoins.

Pokemon GO Charged Embers: How to maximize Egg hatching

Follow these tips to make the most of the event:

  1. Use multiple Incubators: Stock up on Limited or Super Incubators to increase your efficiency.
  2. Focus on 2-km Eggs: With a short walking requirement and event bonuses, these are the easiest to hatch repeatedly.
  3. Walk or cycle constantly: Use a safe cycling route to cover more distance in less time.
  4. Strategically replace Eggs: After hatching, prioritize choosing 2-km Eggs to continue the cycle.
  5. Plan your route: Choose areas with a high density of PokeStops to quickly replenish your Egg inventory.
