With the introduction of Mega Gallade in Pokemon GO on January 11, 2025, as part of the Raid Day event, you might be wondering how many wins you need to Mega Evolve Gallade. The answer depends on the kind of counters you are using and whether you are trying to solo defeat Mega Gallade raids or going in with one or more companions.

The Mega Gallade Raid Day in Pokemon GO will last from 2-5 pm local time on January 11, 2025. During this time, you can beat several raid bosses and farm the creature's Candy as well as the Energy required to Mega Evolve it.

Here is a breakdown of the amount of Mega Energy you get from each raid:

It takes 200 Mega Energy to trigger Gallade's Mega Evolution for the first time. Therefore, the minimum number of raids you need to complete is one. Since the minimum amount of energy you can get from a single raid is 150, you must complete a maximum of two raids to trigger the Mega Evolution.

Completing the raid in under 2 minutes and 30 seconds or 150 seconds will give you 200 Gallade Mega Energy in one go. This cannot be achieved when you are fighting as a solo raider. With the best counters to Pokemon GO Mega Gallade raids, you need at least two trainers to achieve this.

When going in as a solo trainer, you must complete at least two raids before you have enough Energy to take Mega Evolve a single Gallade.

Which Gallade should you evolve in Pokemon GO?

The best candidate for the Mega Evolution is a Shiny Gallade with 15/15/15 IVs. However, the shiny bit is merely a cosmetic addition, so if you have one with perfect IVs, you should use your Mega Energy on that.
