Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's latest 7-star Tera Raid features an Electric-type Emboar as its boss. While plenty of trainers are taking on this raid boss solo and with friends, some players may wonder if they can one-hit KO (OHKO) this boss so that farming it for Herba Mystica and other rewards is easier. Fortunately, the right team of well-built Pokemon can absolutely OHKO Electric Emboar.
Not that this raid strategy will require a team effort of four players in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and the players must know the strategy. Working with random players or NPC trainers won't get the job done, as multiple steps must be taken to ensure that the OHKO attack can be accomplished.

In this Pokemon Scarlet and Violet raid strategy, trainers will need two turns, but the result will still yield victory in a single hit. The central focus of the strategy utilizes Incarnate Forme Landorus with the held item Life Orb and the ability Sheer Force, increasing its damage output while being bolstered by an Alcremie and two Hisuian Qwilfish.
Note that all the Pokemon in the raid should be at Level 100 and should have maximum IVs either via breeding naturally or through Hyper Training.
Recommended team setup to OHKO Electric Emboar 7-star raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Once Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers have the team above assembled, they can follow this strategy to defeat Electric Emboar in a single hit:
- On Turn 1, have Incarnate Landorus move first and use Nasty Plot to boost its Sp. Atk. Alcremie should follow by using Decorate on Landorus to boost the Sp. Atk further, and the two Hisuian Qwilfish should attack Emboar with Acid Spray to lower its Sp. Def stat. Hisuiuan Qwilfish will also trigger Intimidate at the start of the battle, lowering Emboar's Atk stat.
- On Turn 2, Alcremie should begin by using Helping Hand to boost Landorus' damage output. Next, one of the Hisuian Qwilfish should activate an Attack Cheer (Go All Out!), and the second Hisuian Qwilfish should attack once more with Acid Spray. Finally, at the end of Turn 2, have Incarnate Landorus use Earth Power.
If these steps are followed correctly, Incarnate Forme Landorus' Earth Power move should deal anywhere from 18,228 to 21,447 damage in one hit, which is well over 100% of Electric Emboar's health. With the combined Sp. Atk stat buffs given to Landorus and the lowering of Emboar's Sp. Def, the starter Pokemon won't be able to survive even with its massively increased health as a raid boss.
