If you wish to solo defeat Falinks in Pokemon GO 3-star Max Battles, it is a steep uphill climb with the creatures currently available in the game. Falinks, unlike Beldum, has a high Attack and Defense stats, which means, it will hit back hard.

The following strategy can help you solo defeat Falinks in Pokemon GO 3-star Max Battles:

One Metagross damage sponge with two Charizard with Max Airstream

In this strategy, you use the Metagross with Zen Headbutt and Psychic to charge up the Dynamax Energy bar, while dealing Psychic-type chip damage. Since Metagross takes neutral damage from all of Falinks' attacks, it is likely to faint fast.

Once Metagross is out of the equation, send out the Charizard with Air Sladh and Blast Burn. Dynamax as soon as you have enough energy and hit Falinks with three Max Airstreams.

After this, stick around with Charizard and send in your second Charizard once the first one faints. The constant barrage of Max Airstreams will whittle down Falinks' health bar in due time.

Note that you need at least level 35 attackers to execute this strategy comfortably. The higher the level of your attackers, the faster the process will be.

If you don't have a Metagross, you can also use a level 40 Venusaur with Vine Whip and Frenzy Plant as the damage sponge. Despite having lower defenses, its part Poison-type means it resists all of Falinks' attacks but Megahorn.
