Anyone who wants to solo defeat Golem in Pokemon GO raids must build a team of strong counters. Golem is a Rock- and Ground-type Pocket Monster susceptible to attacks by multiple Pokemon types and doubly weak against two Pokemon types. As a result, the creature is volatile, which is good news for trainers who want to defeat and obtain it. Golem also doesn’t have a versatile move pool and can not hit a wide array of Pokemon charging at it.

If one uses strong raid parties, including high-level Mega and Shadow Pokemon, then it is possible to solo defeat Golem in Pokemon GO 3-star raids. In this article, we will learn more about how this can be done in the game.

To solo defeat Golem in Pokemon GO raids, you’ll need to form a team that can exploit its type weaknesses. As a Ground- and Rock-type monster, it is vulnerable to the following elemental typings:

  • Grass (256%)
  • Water (256%)
  • Fighting (160%)
  • Ground (160%)
  • Ice (160%)
  • Steel (160%)

While Grass- and Water-type moves are highly effective against Golem, Fighting-, Ground-, Ice-, and Steel-type attacks are less effective.

In these 3-star battles, the time provided for trainers to bring the Raid Boss down is 180 seconds. Golem boasts a CP of 19,790, an Attack of 211, a Defense of 198, and an HP of 3,600. One can solo defeat Golem in Pokemon GO 3-star raids by using counters that have better stat distribution and excellent movesets. For instance, a Level 40 Primal Kyogre with Waterfall and Origin Pulse and its statistic spread of 5,906 CP, 353 ATK, 268 DEF, and 218 STA can be lethal for Golem.

The Weather Boost effect enhances the spawn rate and CP of a monster. Additionally, it increases the efficiency of Pokemon moves. Golem’s typing is Rock and Ground, as a result, Weather Boost activates when it experiences Partly Cloudy or Sunny weather conditions.

Due to this effect, Golem raids held in Sunny or Partly Cloudy weather are challenging. Therefore, if you want to solo defeat Golem in Pokemon GO very easily, you may prefer not to battle under these circumstances. The benefit of the Weather Boost is that even your counters are influenced by it. For example, a Primal Groudon with a Water-based moveset in Rainy weather would be incredibly effective against Golem.
