You can solo defeat Mega Aerodactyl in Pokemon GO's five-star Mega Raids. This is a Rock and Flying-type Pocket Monster that was introduced in this title on January 7, 2022, during the Mountains of Power event. You can find it in Pokemon GO's Mega Raids from time to time.

If you have the right set of counters for this Raid Boss, you can solo defeat Mega Aerodactyl in Pokemon GO. It will still not be an easy fight, but you will not need to stress about winning.

What is super-effective against Mega Aerodactyl?

Mega Aerodactyl is a Rock- and Flying-type Pokemon, which makes it weak to the following elemental typings:

This creature has an attack stat of 292 and a base defense stat of 210. As a Mega Raid Boss, it will have a Combat Power stat of 43,686. Mega Aerodactyl has good numbers on paper and the raid battle will not be a stroll in the park. You need to have high-level counters that inflict super-effective damage on this monster.

Additionally, you must get a weather boost for your Pokemon to deal more damage to this Raid Boss. For instance, snowy weather will enhance the efficacy of Steel-type Pokemon. Hence, Shadow Metagross in snowy weather will be highly effective against Mega Aerodactyl.

There are budget counters too, like Swampert, Feraligatr, Gyarados, Aerodactyl, and Mamoswine. These monsters are great to have in your raid party if you want to solo defeat Mega Aerodactyl in Pokemon GO.

Besides having high-level counters to use against this Raid Boss, you need to master the art of dodging attacks coming from the monster. You need to read the movement of the Mega Aerodactyl while attacking it. This way, after a couple of turns, you can anticipate when it is going to use a Charged move.

You need to try and dodge these attacks at any cost. Getting hit by these Charged moves can knock your Pokemon out of the raid.
