Players wishing to solo defeat Mega Sableye in Pokemon GO Mega Raids will be happy to know there are creatures in the game that can achieve this feat. When Mega Sableye was first introduced in June 2024, there was only one 'mon that could solo defeat it, but as of October 2024, there are two.

Mega Sableye raids will be available from 10 am local time on October 14 to 10 am local time on October 28, 2024.

What Pokemon can solo defeat Mega Sableye in Pokemon GO Mega Raids?

Only level 50 Mega Gardevoir with Charm and Dazzling Gleam and level 50 Mega Rayquaza with Dragon Tail and Dragon Ascent can solo defeat Mega Sableye in Pokemon GO.

Before delving into the necessary conditions and steps to achieve the feat, take a look at Mega Sableye's stats and attributes:

  • Type: Ghost and Dark
  • Combat Power: 23,935
  • Attack: 151
  • Defense: 216
  • Stamina: 9,000 HP
  • Fast Attacks: Feint Attack and Shadow Claw
  • Charged Attacks: Foul Play, Power Gem, and Shadow Sneak
  • Weaknesses: Fairy

How to solo defeat Mega Sableye raids in Pokemon GO using Mega Gardevoir

You should use Mega Gardevoir when the raid boss has either Foul Play or Power Gem as its Charged Attack. With Charm and Dazzling Gleam equipped, keep spamming out Fast and Charged Attacks as they are available to you.

While the feat is achievable even without Cloudy Weather, having supportive conditions will make the task easier.

How to solo defeat Mega Sableye raids in Pokemon GO using Mega Rayquaza

Level 50 Mega Rayquaza with Dragon Tail and Dragon Ascent can solo this raid boss without a weather boost, albeit by the skin of its teeth. If you happen to have Windy weather, your task will become easier.

You should Mega Rayquaza only if the Sableye doesn't have Power Gem as its Charged Attack. Similar to the Mega Gardevoir strategy, keep hitting the raid boss until it faints.

Note that dodging attacks is not mandatory, but evading some damage can help. Enter the battle with both Gardevoir and Rayquaza in your party and switch out to the more suited one based on the Charged Move you see the raid boss using,

Lastly, your attacker is bound to faint a couple of times while you try to solo defeat Mega Sableye in Pokemon GO. To make the most of the 300 seconds available to you, use Max Revives instead of Revives and Max Potions.
