How to Get Jolteon in Pokemon Go

So called ‘Eevee-lutions,’ the multiple evolutions of the Pokemon Eevee, have been around in Pokemon Go for a while and have been around in the original Pokemon games for even longer. Of the first three ‘Eevee-lutions’ to exist, Jolteon was the one who covered the electric type in the water, fire, electric trio.

About Jolteon

About Jolteon

Jolteon is an electric type Pokemon that was originally introduced in the Pokemon games Red and Green in Japan and Red and Blue in other countries. This Pokemon has powerful and volatile emotions which affect its powers and its powerful electric type moves can strike down flying types from the sky and water types from the sea. Jolteon is only the electric type so it has only one weakness, the ground type. Even though it has rather low stats compared to other ‘Eevee-lutions’ it makes up for it by having only one specific weakness.

Jolteon spawn very rarely near industrial buildings, college campuses, and dry climates.

How to Get Jolteon in Pokemon Go

Jolteon can be caught in the wild in the same areas other electric types are found but due to its rarity this isn’t the best way to get it. The easiest way to get a Jolteon is to evolve it from an Eevee, as it requires far less effort and luck.

Since it can be random which ‘Eevee-lution’ the Eevee may evolve into, name the Eevee ‘Sparky’ to guarantee it evolving into a Jolteon as specific names will force Eevee to evolve into different forms.

Requirements to Get Jolteon

Evolving an Eevee into a Jolteon is simple and only requires you to give an Eevee 25 Eevee candy. Though if you aren’t using the nickname trick, or have already used it to get a Jolteon (the trick only works once per name) then you might want to collect more.

Requirements to Get Jolteon

Being a normal type, Eevee are relatively common and can appear anywhere. They don’t have special areas they appear in like Fire or Electric types so search for Eevee wherever you like.

Step by Step Guide on How to Get Jolteon in Pokemon Go

Step 1: Catch multiple Eevee until you have at least 25 Eevee Candy. You can transfer some Eevee to Professor Willow for extra Candy but make sure to keep at least one for evolving.

Step 2: Give your 25 Eevee Candy to an Eevee nicknamed ‘Sparky.’

In a Nutshell

“Catch Eevee until you have 25 Eevee candy then use the candy to evolve Eevee. Remember to use the nickname trick if it's not evolving into Jolteon by chance.”
