Is Beast Ball available in Pokemon GO?

Beast Balls are among the rarest items in Pokemon GO and are also one of the best-looking balls you can use to catch Pokemon. So, as you progress through your Pokemon GO journey and evolve your character, you might wonder if you can get your hands on these spectacular balls in the game.

However, unlike other balls like Master and Ultra Balls, these balls are not readily available in Pokemon GO. Much like Premier Balls, these balls are limited to select events where you can use them to catch Raid Bosses. These unique balls are reserved for Ultra Beast raids.

Besides these instances, there are no other occasions where you can use these balls or even acquire them in Pokemon GO.

While you can get these Balls in the game, they are not as readily available as other balls. You can get the following variants of balls for use in GO:

• Poke Balls
• Great Balls
• Ultra Balls
• Master Balls
• Premier Balls
• Beast Balls

The last two have a higher catch rate than the other variants (except for the Master Balls). However, the special balls offer unique functionality, catching Ultra Beasts. The general absence of these balls from GO aligns perfectly with the game's mechanics and history.

Since Ultra Beasts make rare appearances in the game, it does not make sense to add the Beast Balls to your inventory as they consume space. However, since Niantic constantly evolves the game with updates, we can hope for them to incorporate a new feature that will make Ultra Beasts and Beast Balls more readily available in GO.

How to get Beast Balls in Pokemon GO

As of writing, you can get these only during Ultra Beast raids in GO. Monsters like Necrozma, Blacephalon, Stakataka, Guzzlord, Buzzwole, and other Ultra Beasts make appearances in 5-star raids from time to time.

Once these Ultra Beast raids are live in the game, you will get these balls at the end of a successful raid. You will not be able to store them in your inventory but you can use them to catch the Ultra Beast you defeated in the raid.
