The recent Game Freak Teraleaks have revealed many details about upcoming Pokemon titles, while also sharing some unreleased information from older games. One of the most popular leaks revolves around the unreleased mythology of the franchise's universe. This was originally drafted in 2005 during Diamond and Pearl's development.
This original draft also explains a mysterious symbol that has been associated with Arceus from the Mythical Pokemon's debut. In addition to this chart of Legendary Pokemon, a more detailed version of Arceus' origin story was also released. Here is everything to know about the latest lore drop for the beloved franchise.

In the leaked diagram, Arceus, Dialga, and Palkia stand at the center. This was drafted before the introduction of Giratina, as proven by the addition of a third center circle added for the Arceus event in Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver. At the corners of the first triangle, the Sinnoh Lake trio sits, connected to Ho-oh, Lugia, and Regigigas.
On the outside of the first circle, the Legendary Pokemon resembling land, air, and sea sit. Interestingly, Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza seem to have ties with other Legendary Pokemon, as well as some Pseudo-Legendaries like Dragonite, Tyranitar, and Metagross. On the very outer edge are the Mythical Pokemon that were released at the time: Celebi, Mew, Jirachi, and Deoxys.
On top of this, there are the names of other Pokemon that have yet to be revealed. Names like Smiley, Birthly, and Saan appear and have the community stumped. Since this is an old draft from 2005, these codenames would be easier to decipher if Game Freak continued with the franchise's theme of mythology, rather than dropping it after the fourth generation.

Arceus' detailed origin story revealed in Pokemon leaks
The key elements of the new origin story remain consistent with the version we received in the franchise. Arceus was born from an egg in the middle of a void, and then created the universe. However, new details reveal that the shattered fragments of Arceus' eggs fought it immediately after being shed.
Upon winning the battle, Arceus was injured to the point where it had to split itself in half. Dialga was made from Arceus' left half, and Palkia was made from its right. Arceus' blood on the giants made from the egg fragments became the world, and Dialga and Palkia were tasked with populating it.

To summarize the rest, Palkia and Dialga are the parents of all of the Legendary Pokemon, excluding the trios. The trios were still created by their respective Legendary Pokemon, as interpreted in the main series. After creating all the Legendary Pokemon, Dialga went on to create every other Pokemon, while Palkia went on to create humans.
