Appearance of Luxray

Luxray is a four-legged Pokemon resembling a lion with a black mane and blue undercoat and face. Most of its body is covered in shaggy black hair which covers the blue beneath it. Luxray has red and yellow eyes designed to show off its x-ray abilities. Luxray also has blue and yellow circular ears, as well as a four-pointed yellow tip at the end of its tail.

Behavior of Luxray

Luxray has the ability to see through solid surfaces in order to track down its prey or search for danger. However, this costs Luxray quite a bit of energy, causing it to spend most of its time sleeping in order to regain its energy. For these reasons, Luxray is known to be a formidable predator.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Luxray has a high attack stat, though its other stats are average, with its speed being pretty low. Since Luxray is an electric type, it is weak to ground-type attacks and is strong against flying and water-type Pokemon.

Mega Luxray

Though many fans have speculated what a Mega Luxray would look like, a Mega Luxray does not currently exist within the games itself.

Best moveset for Luxray

When fighting with a Luxray, Wild Charge is the best STAB (same-type attack bonus) move for a Luxray. Ice Fang and Crunch both serve as fantastic type coverage for taking advantage of Luxray's high attack. Giga Impact serves as a last resort move, due to it being a powerful normal-type move that can hit every Pokemon except for ghost-types. There are, however, many other builds that may be more powerful, though these other builds tend to be less stable.

Evolutions

Luxray is known to spawn on university campuses, as well as commercial districts and railways. Luxray evolves from Shinx using 25 candy and evolves from Luxio using 100 candy.

Q. Why is Luxray so bad?

Luxray is not inherently bad, but its limited moveset can make it harder to use compared to other electric types.

Q. Is Luxray better than Raichu?

Raichu takes longer to evolve than Luxray, which can make it harder to get. Despite this, Raichu has better move options, which can make it better for more advanced training methods.

Q. Who is better: Luxray or Jolteon?

Jolteon has superior stats and moves than Luxray in most scenarios, even though Luxray is better for type balancing.

Conclusion

While Luxray may be a simple Pokemon when compared to others, but

Luxray has a high attack stat which can help Luxray be a suitable choice for a Pokemon team. Luxray struggles with stability in battle, especially when faced with type advantages, but it can do a lot of damage if trained correctly.
