Appearance

Minun is a bipedal Pokémon of a sort of cream color with blue marks on its body. It has a dot nose and a minus sign on the blue markings on its cheeks, with long and blue ears that stick straight up. It has short blue arms and its tail, like its cheeks, resembles a minus sign. It has been considered to be the opposite of Plusle, with different colors and symbols.

Behavior

Minun enjoys cheering on its teammates by sending off showers of sparks and little electric pom-poms for them. But when its partner is in trouble, it sends off even more sparks. Minun can be found in grasslands and savannas but it will hide under houses when it rains due to its dislike of water.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Minun is weak to Ground-type Pokémon, taking twice as much damage as normal when fighting them. It is not immune to any type, but it is resistant to Flying, Steel, and Electric-types, taking only half of the normal amount of damage. Minun is damaged normally by Normal, Fighting, Poison, Rock, Bug, Ghost, Fire, Water, Grass, Psychic, Ice, Dragon, Dark, and Fairy-type Pokémon.

Best Moveset

Minun has a lot of strong moves, including Last Resort, which is a move that has 140 power and 100% accuracy. Here are Minun’s best moves. Last Resort has great accuracy and power, but will fail unless each known move has been used. Double Edge has 120 power and 100% accuracy, as well as a 33% recoil rate. Body Slam has a 30% chance to paralyze the target. Thunderbolt has a 10% chance to paralyze the target.

How to catch Minun in Pokemon Go?

The best places to search for Minun are near railways, industrial parks or buildings, university and college campuses, as well as dry climates such as deserts. In addition, because it is an electric-type Pokémon, Minun spawn rates will be boosted during rainy weather.

Trivia

  1. Both known as “The Cheering Pokémon”, Minun shares its category with its partner Plusle.
  2. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, there are many unusable character files. One of these files is named “Pra_Mai”, leading some to speculate that Minun and Plusle were considered to appear as a tag-team, similar to Ice Climbers. Ultimately, they did not make it into the game.
  3. Unused text from Pokémon Colosseum suggests that a Shadow Minun was at some point supposed to appear in the game.
