While Generation 4 is known for adding new final evolutions to Pokemon, Munchalx missed that memo and is the pre-evolution to the well known Snorlax. Despite being an oddball in that respect, this chubby normal type has become well known due to its endearing appearances in the Pokemon anime.

Appearance
Munchlax looks like a miniature form of its evolution, Snorlax. It's almost entirely a dark teal color but has cream coloring on its feet, a spot on its chest and on the bottom half of its head. There is a spiked fur pattern around the bottom of its body, almost resembling a dress.
Behavior
Munchlax is a very active Pokemon which is in direct contrast to Snorlax. It will run around looking for food but still tends to be very slow. Munchlax can taste but are rather indifferent to flavor and its stomach accommodates it, as it’s able to digest just about anything.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Munchlax is a pure normal type so its type matchups are very few. It is, however, completely immune to ghost type moves and takes double damage from fighting type moves.

Tank: Munchlax, despite being a pre-evolution, has an outstanding health stat and very good special defense. This makes it good for taking hits and thus, it has a lot of time to get its own hits in. Combine that with Recycle and a Berry Juice, as a held item, Munchlax can heal itself multiple times and surely infuriate your opponent.
