Murkrow is a dual Dark Flying type Pokemon that was introduced in Generation II and it evolves into a Honchkrow when exposed to a Dusk Stone. However, Honchkrow was not its original evolution as it only was introduced a few generations later, in Generation IV. It has a 50% chance of spawning as either male or female and is known as the Darkness Pokemon.

Appearance
Murkrow is a small, dark-colored bird Pokemon with dark feathers and a crooked, yellow beak. It has three feathery tufts on its head that resemble a witch’s hat. The feathery crest on the “hat” is smaller on females than males but both have red, semi-circular eyes. The shaggy feathers at the end of its tail resemble a broom, which witches infamously ride while its feet have four talons.
Behavior
Murkrow is fond of anything shiny and will be easily distracted by it, and will even fight other Pokemon in order to get their stash. Whenever they chase Murkrow, it will lose them by leading them down dark and mysterious trails. Because of its nocturnal and thieving nature, it has been known as a bad omen. Murkrow live in flocks in the forests and swamps.
Strengths and Weaknesses
As a Dark and Flying type Pokémon, Murkrow is weak against Rock, Electric, Fairy and Ice moves and will take twice the normal damage from them. It is immune to Ground and Psychic types, and is resistant to Ghost, Grass and Dark types, which will do half the damage. There is no advantage or disadvantage with Normal, Fire, Fighting, Water, Flying, Dragon, Poison, Steel and Bug types.

How to catch Murkrow in Pokemon Go?
Murkrow can be found in places of interest and since it is also a Dark type Pokemon, it can be found at night with an increased spawn rate. Using an incense at night can greatly increase the chances of Murkrow spawning. It has been known to be the rescued Pokemon after defeating a Team Rocket Go grunt and evolves into Honchkrow at 50 candies.
