Pokemon GO announces collaboration with Google Play for GO Fest New York City, everything known so far 

Niantic has just announced that Pokemon GO will be collaborating with Google Play for the New York City rendition of the iconic GO Fest yearly event set to take place from July 5 to 7. Through this partnership, players will be able to redeem points and gain access to different attractions during the GO Fest celebration.

By visiting the game's page on the Google Play Store, players can use their membership as a VIP pass, granting them access to exclusive merchandise and prizes from the Google Play booth at the event. Here is everything we know about this merger and how trainers can benefit from this collaboration.

Pokemon GO players can spend their Google Play points for access to exclusive special research with various rewards. This research questline will reward players greatly with an encounter against Charcadet, some XP, Stardust, and an Incubator. This research can be redeemed anywhere, so trainers who won't be in New York for the event can still complete this research.

Gold-level Play Pass players will need to register for their Wildcard, which will function as their VIP pass for the event, granting them their benefits. This can be done from the game's Google Play page. With this pass, players can win exclusive merchandise, meet-and-greets with members of 100 Thieves, and prizes from the Google Play booth.

For trainers who will miss out on the in-person rendition of GO Fest, a special livestream will be hosted on the game's Play Store page, where players can earn special drops by tuning in. However, what these drops contain has not been disclosed. These will likely be items that potentially have a cosmetic item or two.
