Affected Pokemon GO Falinks Raid Day ticket holders will receive a free Timed Research after facing an error during last weekend's event. The compensation includes in-game resources like Star Pieces, Lucky Eggs, and Premium Battle Passes.

Niantic's announcement of the compensation follows the September 9 X post that acknowledged the issue and promised more information regarding those who were affected by the error.

Pokemon GO Falinks Raid Day ticket holders will get a free Timed Research as "token of apology"

Regarding the Pokemon GO Falinks Raid Day ticket holder compensation, Niantic posted on @NianticHelp on September 14, 2024:

"Trainers, as a token of apology for the issue with Falinks Raid Day bonuses, all affected trainers will receive a free Timed Research."

This Timed Research will provide Pokemon GO trainers with the following in-game resources:

  • 3x Premium Battle Passes
  • 2x Star Pieces
  • 2x Lucky Eggs
  • 5x Rare XL Candy

For those unaware, Falinks Raid Day took place on September 8, 2024, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time. Those who purchased the Falinks Raid Day ticket were supposed to enjoy exclusive bonuses till 10 pm local time. The error resulted in the affected trainers not receiving these bonuses after 5 pm.

Pokemon GO's recent errors and compensations

This is not the first time Niantic has had to issue compensation after Pokemon GO bugs or errors in the recent past. The To The Max Special Research error compensation saw affected trainers having the first two steps of the questline completed for free.

In August 2024, Niantic provided free Ultra Beasts and Necrozma encounters to trainers who were impacted by the GO Fest 2024 Special Backgrounds error.

The past week also saw the community upset with the Pokemon GO raid changes (a reported 0.02 to 0.5 change) that players said left Raid Bosses using Charged Moves like Fast Moves. Niantic finally announced on September 12 that they were further tweaking the Raid Boss mechanics to address the complaints.
