Compensation for the Pokemon GO Charged Embers Hatch Day Paid Timed Research's price discrepancy will arrive "in the new year," according to Niantic's official support page on X. They announced that affected trainers will receive it as a free bundle from the in-game shop.

Pokemon GO Charged Embers Hatch Day is the final event before we head off toward the New Year's 2025 celebrations. Trainers have a better chance to come across Shiny Elekid and Shiny Magby from 2 km egg hatches during the hatch day. The paid Charged Embers Hatch Day Timed Research provides trainers with rewards like Star Piece, XP, Super Incubator, and a bonus of 2x Hatch Stardust. So what went wrong with the pricing?

Niantic announced earlier today (December 29) on X that there were discrepancies in the Charged Embers Hatch Day Paid Timed Research price and description in the in-game shop.

For a short period, it was offered for US$1.99 (instead of the previously advertised US$1.00). Rewards included 1x Super Incubator, 1x Star Piece, 2500 XP, Sandygast encounter, 2x Premium Battle Pass, and 1x Egg Incubator.

Once Niantic fixed the issue, they mentioned that those who had already purchased the ticket for the wrong price would get the following items in the new year as a free shop bundle:

300 Poke Coins
2x Premium Battle Pass
1x Incubator
1x Sandygast encounter

Pokemon GO Charged Embers Hatch Day will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time. During that time, Elekid and Magby will be hatching at an increased rate from 2 km eggs. Trainers will also have a better chance of coming across Shiny Elekid and Shiny Magby from these hatches.
