While Pokemon GO Mega Lucario Raid Day on July 27, 2024, went smoothly in most places, players in some time zones experienced glitches with event bonuses not applying after 5 pm local time. Niantic Support acknowledged the problem on X and announced that the event would be extended to July 28, 2024, in affected regions.

While the information on the affected regions was not fully disclosed, a Leek Duck X post suggests that they include Oceania and parts of Asia. Later, they also specified that the last-affected time zones were around GMT +6 (+/-1).
