Pokemon GO will soon see the debut of Morpeko as the devs recently teased the Galar Two-Sided Pokemon in a short clip that ended with the words "Coming Soon." Galar Pokemon have been notoriously absent from Niantic's title, with fans clamoring to see further Gen VIII debuts for quite some time.

Morpeko, hopefully, will be the first of many in this case. We have gathered all the available information below.

Pokemon GO players will soon see the arrival of Morpeko

The Pokemon GO Morepeko clip shows the Two-Sided Pokemon milling around in real-life locations before the frame changes to show it in Pokemon GO PvP battles. We also get a glimpse of its signature Aura Wheel and of it changing its mode to Hangry Mode while using a Charged Attack. The clip concludes with Morpeko eating something and changing back to its normal Full Belly Mode.

In the mainline series, Morpeko utilizes its Hunger Switch Ability to change its form at the end of every turn. During its Full Belly Mode, its Aura Wheel is Electric-type while the signature mode becomes Dark-type during its Hangry mode. It will be interesting to see how Niantic navigates this mechanic and introduces it in Pokemon GO. The debut of form-changing during battles will also impact other Pokemon, like Darmanitan and Palafin.

Morpeko's Pokemon GO debut will likely take place next season. The upcoming season is set to begin once Season of Shared Skies concludes on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 10 am local time. While not much is known about what the upcoming few months hold for trainers, Niantic already provided the next season's Community Day dates.

Pokemon GO is also poised to witness the debut of Dynamax forms in-game sometime soon. Apart from Niantic recently teasing about "something big" that is coming, we have seen plenty of leaks in the past few weeks discussing the same. Provided all of this comes to fruition without any hiccups, the next few months will be a gala time for trainers.
