Pokemon GO Tour Unova 2025 revealed, shiny debuts confirmed

Pokemon GO Tour Unova 2025 has been finally revealed along with exciting gameplay information that trainers will be excited about. There are two in-person events to participate in at first besides the worldwide global one that takes place after. Event-themed wild encounters and raids bosses have also been announced.

GO Tour Unova first takes place in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, USA, from February 21, 2025, to February 23, 2025. It is then followed by the global event from March 1, 2025, to March 2, 2025.

Prior to this announcement, Niantic revealed the upcoming Pokemon GO Season of Dual Destiny, featuring new debuts, the return of Unbound Hoopa, and plenty more.

Pokemon GO Tour Unova 2025 details revealed

Pokemon GO Tour Unova 2025 marks the debut of Shiny Meloetta, Shiny Deerling, Shiny Maractus, Shiny Sigilyph, and Shiny Bouffalant.

Shiny Meloetta will be available as part of a ticketed Masterwork Research. Since these don't expire, trainers can take their time to complete it.

Shiny Deerling can be encountered from the wild during the season-themed habitat rotations in GO Tour Unova 2025. Meanwhile, Shiny Maractus, Shiny Sigilyph, and Shiny Bouffalant will be available as 10 km egg hatches for lucky trainers.

Given that all three are region-exclusive Pocket Monsters, this marks an excellent opportunity for those who haven't been able to nab these creatures in the past.

Trainers can already purchase tickets if they wish to participate in the in-person events in Los Angeles and New Taipei City. Players there will also be able to encounter Incarnate Forme Tornadus, Incarnate Forme Thundurus, and Incarnate Forme Landorus through Timed Research, where they will have to decipher clues and spin corresponding PokeStops.

Beginning with the in-person events, the ticketed GO Tour Unova 2025 Special Research will feature Reshiram and Zekrom. The questline's conclusion will take place during the global event, with the announcement providing the following prompt:

"Following Professor Willow’s shocking discoveries during the real-world Pokémon GO Tour: Unova events in New Taipei City and Los Angeles, Trainers around the world will need to band together and end the chaos once and for all! Could Reshiram and Zekrom be the answers to this global threat?"

Will we see the much-speculated and hotly-anticipated Kyurem Fusions in Pokemon GO with GO Tour Unova 2025? One can only hope so.
