Game Freak might not be done with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet after all. Although we are currently waiting for Pokemon Legends Z-A which is supposed to arrive sometime in 2025, we won't see another mainline title till at least 2026. Hence, one can hope that the developers have more in the pipeline for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet other than Tera Raid Battles and Mass Outbreak events.

The recent update from the Game Freak Teraleak leaker also hints towards the same.

@CentroLeaks shared the message from the leaker that states:

"Leaking Titan might cause GF to like stop events completely when they might still have some"

Centro Leaks' post provided further clarification that the leaker had chosen not to share the source code of Scarlet and Violet (codenamed Titan). The reason was that it might lead to the cancellation of any potential upcoming Gen IX in-game event and might also reveal information regarding Nintendo Switch 2.

Based on this, Centro Leaks guesses that there might be an "unreleased event for a new Mythical Pokemon" for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and that Game Freak might be working on a Nintendo Switch 2 version for the current Gen IX titles. As with all leaks, there's no way to confirm any such conjectures until the developers make an official statement that indicates something.

The recent spate of Game Freak leaks encompassed a variety of subjects, including beta Pokemon sprites, the universe lore, and source codes. You can learn more about them in the following articles:

For now, Pokemon fans are eagerly awaiting the launch of Pokemon TCG Pocket (on October 30, 2024) and Pokemon Legends Z-A. The latter is situated in Kalos' Lumiose City and will see the return of Mega Evolution.
