Appearance
Nidoran is a small, light purple, rodent-like Pokémon. It has darker patches on its body, a horn on its forehead as well as spines on the lower half of its back which will release poison if threatened. It also has spines on its ears while the inner part of it’s ears are a bright teal color. Nidoran’s eyes are red and its teeth are oversized. The way to tell the difference between male and female is by the color. Nidoran (male) is purple and Nidoran (female) is light blue with the colour palette remaining the same throughout both evolutionary lines.
Behavior
Nidoran are famous for their docile and quiet behavior. The males are more alert than their female counterparts though and they use their oversized ears to listen for potential enemies. When Nidoran feels threatened, it will release a toxic poison from one of the spines on its back. This poison is extremely powerful and can do real damage to an opponent as just one drop can prove to be fatal, as well as one scratch from the horns. Nidoran likes to live in open spaces and it uses its teeth to crush the berries it hunts for.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Nidoran is weak to Ground and Psychic Pokémon and thus these types will do twice as much damage. It is not immune to a certain type of Pokémon but it is resistant to Fighting, Poison, Bug, Grass, and Fairy type Pokémon. These types will only do half the damage when fighting Nidoran. It is affected normally by Normal, Rock, Steel, Ice, Ghost, Flying, Fire, Water, Electric, Dragon, and Dark types.
Best moveset (Nidoran)
Nidoran has a lot of strong moves including Skull Bash, which is a move that has 130 power and 100% accuracy. Here are Nidoran’s best moves: Skull Bash raises the user’s defense by 1 on 1 turn. Double Edge has a 33% recoil, Future Sight hits two turns after being used while Earthquake hits adjacent Pokémon and double damage on Dig.

How to catch Nidoran in Pokemon Go?
Nidoran tends to spawn in locations such as lakes or industrial areas and it has a spawn rate of 1.31% and a 15% flee rate. It also hatches out of 2 km eggs. - Despite other Pokemon later having gender differences, Nidoran remains two different Pokemon rather than one with differences like others.
FAQs

Conclusion
Nidoran is one of the original Pokemon and was released in Generation 1, it was the only original Pokemon to have a gender specific appearance and name for its final evolution (Nidoking and Nidoqueen). Nidorans are fairly common but finding a male and female and evolving them takes time and takes a lot of candy in Pokemon Go. These Pokemon make great additions to a team.
