Pokemon GO Beyond Wild Area is available to those trainers who have completed the ticket-exclusive Special Research during the Wild Area event. The choices they made in that questline will determine the bonuses they enjoy and the Timed Research they get to complete.

Schedule and event bonuses

Beyond Wild Area began on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 6 am local time and will continue until Friday, November 29, 2024, at 8 pm local time. The event bonuses depend on whether trainers picked the Electric-type or the Poison-type patch in the Wild Area Special Research. They are as follows:

Electric-type

• Timed Research granted each day focused on Electric-type Pokemon.
• 2× damage for Electric-type attacks used in raids, Gym Battles, and Max Battles.
• Water- and Flying-type Grunts will appear in GO Rocket Balloons every 15 minutes.

Poison-type

• Timed Research granted each day focused on Poison-type Pokemon.
• 2× damage for Poison-type attacks used in raids, Gym Battles, and Max Battles.
• Grass- and Fairy-type Grunts will appear in GO Rocket Balloons every 15 minutes.

Timed Research

The same Timed Research is granted every day.

Electric-type

• Power up an Electric-type Pokemon - 15x Ultra Ball
• Defeat 3 Water- or Flying-type Pokemon - 3x Max Potion
• Defeat a Team GO Rocket Grunt - 3x Max Revive
• Rewards: 3x Rare Candy, 1000x Stardust, 1x Lucky Egg

Poison-type

• Power up a Poison-type Pokemon - 15x Ultra Ball
• Defeat 3 Grass- or Fairy-type Pokemon - 3x Max Potion
• Defeat a Team GO Rocket Grunt - 3x Max Revive
