Elite Raids in Pokemon GO have seen some of the rarest debuts in the game, with the latest being Mega Rayquaza. Although Raids are not very liked by the community since players must be physically present at Elite Gyms, they host rather rare and demanding Pokemon. Currently, a total of five Pocket Monsters have debuted in Pokemon GO Elite Raids, but we will surely see more in the near future.
In this article, we will look at five Pokemon GO debuts that can happen in Elite Raids. These critters are not just rare but are also among the most powerful beings in the Pokeverse.

Possible Elite Raid debuts in Pokemon GO
Here are five powerful Pokemon that will likely debut in Elite Raids to avoid a power-creep situation in Pokemon GO:
1) Ultra Necrozma
With the recent addition of Necrozma and its fused forms during the GO Fest 2024 in normal Raids, only Ultra Necrozma is left out of the fray. Ultra Necrozma is no meager Pokemon, it is the epitome of power. As such, it will likely debut in Pokemon GO Elite Raids.
As one of the most formidable Pokemon in the franchise, Ultra Necrozma represents a significant challenge for trainers, aligning with the increased difficulty of Elite Raids.
2) Mega Mewtwo X/Y
Mega Mewtwo X and Y have often been teased by Niantic, but we have yet to see their addition in Pokemon GO. When they are released, however, they will likely debut as an Elite Raid, owing to their immense power and legendary status.
Mewtwo is among the strongest Pokemon in the mainline series, and it is only fair to make it a formidable challenge in the game. The rarity and power of Mega Mewtwo X and Y fit the Elite Raid format, making them highly sought-after rewards for successful raid groups.

3) Eternatus (Eternamax)
Eternamax Eternatus is one of the top contenders for an Elite Raid debut in Pokemon GO. The sheer power and lore associated with this critter seem to be the perfect addition to Elite Raids. Zacian and Zamazenta already exist in their base forms in the game, and Eternatus' addition can finally complete this trio.
The 8th-anniversary picture released by Niantic hinted at the inclusion of Dynamax evolution in Pokemon GO soon. With that as a precursor, the leap to Eternamax should not be completely dismissed, although it might take a while before we see this added to the game.
4) Stellar Form Terapagos
Terapagos can be considered to be the progenitor of the Terastal power introduced in the Paldea region of Pokemon. Although legendary critters from this region have yet to make their appearance in Pokemon GO, Stellar Form Terapagos is likely to debut as an Elite Raid boss.
Given this critter's pivotal role in the Pokeverse, it will likely not be readily available in normal raids. The Stellar Form, especially, will probably appear in Elite Raids specifically in Pokemon GO.
5) Arceus
As the creator of all Pocket Monsters, it is only fair for Arceus to debut in Pokemon GO Elite Raids. With a god-like status, it demands a challenge that would do justice to its legend, which makes Elite Raids the ideal platform for its appearance.
Arceus has the ability to change its type, which can also add a new layer of strategic challenge for trainers. Overall, Arceus possesses a power and prestige that surpasses all other Pokemon, making it a formidable force for even the most skilled trainer. Being a god, it demands an exclusivity that only Elite Raids in Pokemon GO can provide.
