Pokemon GO December Community Day 2024: Date & time, event bonuses, featured 'mons, and more

Pokemon GO December Community Day 2024 will continue the game's annual tradition of recap and celebration. We will see Community Day-featured Pokemon from the past two years appear in wild spawns, research encounters, raids, and egg hatches.

During the event, trainers can also come across Pokemon featured in 2024 Community Days with Special Backgrounds. There will be plenty to do for these two days, so let's find out!

Pokemon GO December Community Day 2024 event overview

Schedule and event bonuses

December Community Day 2024 takes place on Saturday, December 21, and Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time.

The event bonuses are as follows:

• 2× XP for catching Pokémon.
• 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
• 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event period.
• 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
• 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
• Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
• One additional Special Trade can be made, for a maximum of two per day. less Stardust. [bonus active from 9 am local time to 9 pm local time instead of 2 pm to 5 pm]
• Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust. [bonus active from 9 am local time to 9 pm local time instead of 2 pm to 5 pm]

Featured Pokemon

The Pokemon GO December Community Day 2024 will sport two sets of pocket monsters, one for each day. The shiny probability for the featured Pokemon will be the same as that during the original Community Day. Trainers may also encounter any of these Pokemon in the wild on either day from 9 am to 9 pm local time.
