Pokemon GO Eelektross's best moveset, counters, and overall competitive viability will be of interest to players wishing to use it in battle. This Pokemon was released in March 2021 and has since been pretty much lurking in the background, overshadowed by the many other Electric-type creatures in the title.
However, with Pokemon GO Tynamo Community Day on July 21, 2024, Eelektross has finally got a moment to shine. It is also receiving the new exclusive Fast Attack Volt Switch. You can get Eelektross by feeding Eelektrik (Tynamo's evolution) 100 Candy and giving it a Unova Stone in Pokemon GO.
This article takes a look at Eelektross' best moveset in Pokemon GO, besides giving you an overview of its competitive viability, and its best counters—in case it appears on the other side of the battlefield.

Eelektross in Pokemon GO PvP
Eelektross is a powerful attacker, but it suffers from a lack of bulk. This makes it difficult to use in trainer battles, especially in Pokemon GO's Great League, where it has a measly Defense stat. While this is slightly better in the Ultra League, the Pokemon still finds it difficult to stand its ground unless you invest shields into it.
That said, it can be a decent lead or a safe switch when paired with bulky partners so that you can give Eelektross the protective shields.
Eelektross in Pokemon GO PvE
You can use Eelektross as a Gym Defender in Pokemon GO that can hold its ground but don't expect it to achieve top-level success or consistently get you your 50 coins.
As an Electric-type attacker, Pokemon GO Eelektross is outshone by several other critters, many of who are fairly easy to get as well.
