Pokemon GO Electivire raids are set to take place on the second day of Wild Area Global. You can encounter the regular and shiny variants of the Thunderbolt Pokemon by beating their raids. Usually, a 3-star Battle can be taken down solo with high-level counters — this means you can take on raids of Electivire all alone as well. However, it is crucial to know this creature's weaknesses and counters to bring it down.

Niantic has made a provision for trainers to access Pokemon GO Electivire raids with Remote Raid Passes — in fact, all 3-star, 4-star, 5-star, and Primal raids of Wild Area can be joined with this item. Once you win against the Raid Boss, you will receive GO Safari Balls to capture them.

Being an Electric-type pocket monster, Electivire is weak against Ground-type moves. All Ground-type attacks are super-effective against this creature, meaning they inflict heavy damage. However, no other moves can deal massive damage to it.

Best counters to Pokemon GO Electivire raids

Since only Ground-type attacks are practical for Electivire raids, you should only go with them. The Pokemon is resistant to Electric-, Flying-, and Steel-type attacks, so there is no benefit in teaching your counters those moves.

Here are the best Electivire counters in Pokemon GO:

  • Primal Groudon: Mud Shot and Precipice Blades
  • Mega Garchomp: Mud Shot and Earth Power
  • Excadrill: Mud-Slap and Scorching Sands
  • Landorus Therian: Mud Shot and Sandsear Storm
  • Rhyperior: Mud Slap and Earthquake
  • Mega Swampert: Mud Shot and Earth Power
  • Shadow Golurk: Mud Slap and Earth Power

Primal Groudon given in this Pokemon GO Electivire raid lineup can boost the attack power of other monsters by 10%. Additionally, moves similar to the typing of the Primal creatures are boosted by 30%.

Do note that you can challenge Primal Groudon's 5-star raids during Pokemon GO Wild Area Global. Complete this challenge to obtain it so that you can include it in a team of Electivire counters.
