Pokemon GO Fennekin Community Day May 2023: All Special Research tasks and rewards

Pokemon GO May 2023 Community Day will see the arrival of Fennekin in the limelight, with trainers around the world getting an opportunity to band together and catch the Fox Pokemon. The occasion also will consist of event bonuses, a featured attack for Delphox, a Special Research questline, bonus Raid Battles, a Field Research task, and stickers.

Community Day events are held once every month and allow Pokemon GO trainers to come across rare pocket monsters with lower spawn rates. For three hours of local time, the featured critter spawns with an increased frequency in the wild. The occasion is meant to foster in-person camaraderie between the players as they step out to engage in the Community Day.

Pokemon GO trainers can engage in the Fennekin Community Day Classic Special Research questline

This month's Community Day event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 21, 2023, starting at 2 pm local time and continuing until 5 pm local time. As mentioned above, Fennekin will appear in the wild with an increased spawn rate.

The Community Day-exclusive Special Research questline will be available to players who purchase the USD $1 ticket from the in-game shop. The available tasks and rewards for the same are as follows:

• Catch 15 Fennekin - Fennekin encounter
• Power up Pokemon 10 times - 20x Fennekin Candy

The event will mark Shiny Fennekin's debut in the popular AR title. Players will have more opportunities to encounter the distinct shiny variant of the Fox Pokemon. They are advised to take advantage of the increased spawn frequency to catch as many of the critter as possible to get their hands on the evolved forms.

Fennekin evolves into Braixen with the help of 25 candies, while the latter evolves into Delphox with the help of 100 more candies. If players do the second evolution during the May 2023 Community Day event or up to five hours afterward, they will get a Delphox that knows the Charged Attack Blast Burn.

If trainers evolve right at the beginning of the event, they will get a Delphox that knows the Charged Attack Mystical Fire. The official announcement also revealed that "Delphox will still be able to learn Mystical Fire after the conclusion of the event."
