Pokemon GO Fennekin Community Day May 2023: Event bonuses, Featured Attacks, Field Research tasks, and more

Fennekin is all set to appear in the Pokemon GO May 2023 Community Day. Trainers worldwide will get to encounter the Fox Pokemon in the wild with an increased spawn rate for the duration of the ongoing event. Apart from event bonuses, featured attacks, Field Research tasks, and the Special Research questline, lucky players may also encounter the shiny variant of the featured pocket monster on its debut.

This month's Community Day event is going to be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023. It's expected to last for three hours, from 2:00 pm local time to 5:00 pm local time. This year's previous Community Day events saw Chespin, Noibat, Slowpoke, and Togetic appearing in the limelight each month, respectively.

What are the event bonuses for Pokemon GO May 2023 Fennekin Community Day?

The event bonuses, as stated on the official blog post of the event, are as follows:

• 3× Catch Stardust
• 2× Catch Candy
• 2× chance to get Candy XL from catching pocket monsters for trainers level 31 and above.
• Lure Modules and Incense will last for three hours if activated during the Community Day event. Daily Adventure Incense will not receive the same bonus.
• Players will be treated to surprise photobombs if they take a few snapshots during the Community Day event.
• 50% less Stardust cost for trades made during the event. [Will last from 2 pm local time to 10 pm local time]
• Trainers will get one additional Special Trade for the Community Day. [Will last from 2 pm local time to 10 pm local time]

What are the Featured Attacks for Pokemon GO May 2023 Fennekin Community Day?

Pokemon GO players can evolve Braixen from 2:00 pm local time to 10:00 pm local time to get a Delphox that knows the Charged Attack Blast Burn. Those who evolve the Fox Pokemon at the beginning of the Community Day event will have a Delphox that knows the Charged Attack Mystical Fire.

• Trainer Battles - 110 power
• Gyms and Raids - 110 power

Mystical Flare

• Trainer Battles - 60 power and also decreases the opponent's Attack
• Gyms and Raids - 60 power

How to get a Shiny Fennekin, Shiny Braixen, and Shiny Delphox in Pokemon GO May 2023 Fennekin Community Day?

Shiny Fennekin finally makes its debut in Pokemon GO with this month's Community Day event. The unique variant has a grey color palette instead of the usual yellow one. Furthermore, lucky trainers may have a chance to come across Shiny Fennekin.

Once they have found a shiny variant of the Fox Pokemon, they can evolve it to get a Shiny Braixen with 25 Candies and then into Shiny Delphox for 100 more Candies.

Field Research, Special Research, and Bonus Raid Battles

The event-themed Field Research task and its possible rewards are as follows:

• Catch 3 Fennekin - Fennekin encounter [shiny available], 5x Great Ball, 2x Ultra Ball, 2x Pinap Berry, or 500x Stardust

Once the event ends at 5:00 pm local time, Braixen will appear as a Four-Star Raid Boss until 10:00 pm local time. If players are able to defeat it, Fennekin will spawn around that particular gym for half an hour.
