Schedule and event bonuses

Gigantamax Lapras Max Battle Day takes place on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 2 pm local time to 5 pm local time. The event bonuses are as follows:

• Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600
• All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles
• Power Spots will refresh more frequently
• 8× Max Particles from Power Spots

The following bonuses are active today (December 8) from 12 am local time to 5 pm local time, provided trainers have already collected all Max Particles from the Nearby menu:

• 2× Max Particles from exploring
• 1/4 adventuring distance to receive Max Particles

Debut and new mechanic

Max Mushroom in Pokemon GO is a new item used in Max Battles. It doubles the damage done by the Fast Attacks, Charged Attacks, and Max Move attacks when trainers square up against Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokemon. The effect's duration can be increased by using multiple Max Mushrooms one after the other.

Event Ticket

Trainers can pick up the Gigantamax Lapras Max Battle Day Event Ticket for $5.00. This will provide access to an event-exclusive Timed Research, active today for the duration of the event. The following bonuses will also be active:
