Pokemon GO Gigantamax Max Battles are a special kind of Max Battle experience designed to challenge trainers to the next level. This comes a month and a half after the Dynamax phenomenon was introduced in Niantic's mobile game. Unlike regular Dynamax, Gigantamax Pokemon have a different appearance from their base forms, and they can use exclusive attacks called G-Max Moves.

Starting at 10 am local time on October 26, 2024, Pokemon GO Gigantamax Max Battles will be available in Power Spots around you. This article will explain everything you need to know about them.

Gigantamax Max Battles are PvE fights introduced as part of the increasingly wide pool of Dynamax battle experiences in Pokemon GO, where you must take down extremely powerful bosses in coordination with other trainers.

The creatures featured in these fights are special forms of Pocket Monsters you know. Apart from being bigger and stronger, they also look different and can use an exclusive attack called a G-Max Move.

After you capture a Pocket Monster from these battles, it will be capable of turning into its Gigantamax version when you use it in other Max Battles, after you collect enough Dynamax energy.

Any trainer can take part in Pokemon GO Gigantamax Max Battles as long as they have at least one Pocket Monster capable of Dynamaxing. However, these will be extremely difficult challenges and the recommended number of trainers for a match is 10 - 40.

Trainers will be divided into groups of four and must each expend Max Particles to participate; however, these only get used if you win. The minimum entry cost appears to be 800 MP but this can go up for more powerful critters in the future.

The remaining mechanics involved in battles against Gigantamax Power Spot bosses follow the same rules and patterns as Pokemon GO Max Battles.
