Hatterene is extremely attack-weighted. Therefore, it can only do well as a closer when set up with a shield advantage and paired with bulky teammates. It also suffers from a lack of cheap moves it can bait with, therefore, making it quite alignment-dependent.
Hatterene is too fragile to be reliable in the Great League, and too weak compared to other Psychic-types and Fairy-types in the Master League. As a closer, the Ultra League might be its best arena. It can also be good at farming down enemies when equipped with
All things considered, Hatterene is on the brink of being good in limited metas, but isn't there quite yet.

Pokemon GO Hatterene has some serious potential as a Psychic- or Fairy-type Gym and raid attacker. It has an impressive Attack stat as well as powerful STAB moves. Unfortunately, it is presently outclassed by other Legendaries and Shadow Pokemon of its type. The release of Shadow Hatterene in Pokemon GO will significantly boost its position.
