Pokemon GO Mankey Community Day PvP and PvE analysis

The Pokemon GO Mankey Community Day will take place on November 10, 2024, from 2pm to 5 pm local time. The Fighting-type line from Generation I and its final Gen IX final evolution, Annihilape, will be the stars of this event. Primeape and Annihilape can learn the Ghost-type Charged Attack Rage Fist — the line's signature move during this Community Day — after the event starts in your region.

It focuses on how good of a move Rage Fist is and whether Primeape and Annihilape benefit from it. It also provides the best Primeape and Annihilape IVs you should look out for during the event.

Is the Pokemon GO Mankey Community Day worth playing from a PvP and PvE perspective?

If you are a PvP enthusiast, you cannot afford to miss the Pokemon GO Mankey Community Day on November 10, 2024. While there was an initial wave of criticism, the addition of the line's signature move, Rage Fist, has pushed it to the status of the best Community Day of the year.

Primeape and Annihilape are both strong Pocket Monsters, and the addition of Rage Fist to their moveset will make them absolute powerhouses. With Rage Fist, Primeape becomes one of the best picks in the Great and Ultra League. Annihilape, who had fallen off drastically after the Season 20 GBL update's Counter nerfs, is back in action.

As for PvE, Shadow Annihilape with Rage Fist might be an improvement on the Shadow Ball variant, but with only Fighting-type moves in its kitty, it won't be as effective as a Ghost-type attacker.

Is Rage Fist a good move in Pokemon GO?

Rage Fist is a Ghost-type Charged Attack exclusive to Primeape and Annihilape. It will be the Pokemon GO Mankey Community Day exclusive move and can be learned by both Primeape and Annihilape from 2 pm to 10 pm local time on November 10, 2024.

In PvP battles, it's a 50 base power move (60 with STAB) that costs 35 energy. Therefore, Karate Chop Primape has straight 5 pacing to the move, while Counter Annihilape reaches the move in 6 Fast Attacks. The moves give the creatures an instant meta push.

In PvE, Rage Fist is a 100 base power move (120 with STAB) costing 50 energy. It has an animation duration of 3 seconds and a damage window of 2.8 - 3 seconds.

While Rage Fist has promising prospects on its own, its best user, Shadow Annihilape, can use only Fighting-type Fast Attacks. This brings down the creature's damage output against Ghost and Psychic-type creatures, who resist Fighting-type attacks.
