Mega Rayquaza Elite Raids are here in Pokemon GO, with one of the strongest pocket monsters in the game finally marking its return. Trainers will have to band together if they wish to bring down the formidable beast and catch it. The unique shiny variant is also available at the event.

The event also provides a free Timed Research. Completing it awards trainers a Meteorite. The latter is required to teach Rayquaza the Charged Attack Dragon Ascent. Only then can Rayquaza be mega evolved in-game.
