The Mega Rayquaza makeup event in Pokemon GO went surprisingly well and fans are astonished at the lack of any hitches. Big events by Niantic often see a fair amount of backlash from trainers on social media owing to various bugs that arise. Mega Rayquaza raid, although a makeup event, was as big as it can get, second only to Pokemon GO Fests perhaps. Fans are delighted with Niantic's flawless execution of this event.
This article covers the Pokemon GO Mega Rayquaza makeup event that went on seemingly without any hitches, much to the dismay of many fans since they now have nothing to complain about!

Pokemon GO Mega Rayquaza makeup event leaves no room for complaints
Pokemon GO events having a plethora of bugs is a common occurrence. Most recently, the Tynamo Community Day events faced the wrath of fans for a myriad of reasons. The Mega Rayquaza makeup event was also compensation for a buggy Elite Raid event on June 29, 2024, which saw many players unable to participate and do the Mega Rayquaza Elite Raids as intended.
Niantic seems to have learned from their mistakes and finally managed to give Pokemon GO trainers an event so perfect that fans are having a hard time coming up with complaints!
Having played in a lot of Pokemon GO events, I walked up to this one hoping to face something or the other that would rile me up, make me want to smash my phone, or scream at Niantic. Instead, I found getting proper UI cues to understand which gyms would have Mega Rayquaza and when it would have the Raids; I didn't even have any glitches that made me lose passes. Even the Timed Research for this event worked correctly.
I even managed to get two Shiny Rayquazas after doing a total of around 40 raids. Other trainers are also in the same boat and are finding the most absurd reasons to come up with banter and complaints to keep up the consistent habit of bickering after a Niantic event. All of these are meant as jokes, obviously, and nobody is actually complaining about these events.
The event even managed to get compliments from the Pokemon fans, which is a first-time happenstance for me. A certain player u/PokemonGoBao mentioned on Reddit:
"Huge Niantic win. No elite raids so no having to jump through hoops...it was near perfect. Can... can someone think of a reason so we can do this again?"
The event was so good that players want to find at least some flaw so that they can coerce Niantic into giving us another Mega Rayquaza event with this level of perfection. A makeup event for a makeup event sounds like a good plan. (Yes I just want to catch more Rayquazas.)
