Pokemon GO Sewaddle Community Day is October 2024's featured event, during which, the Sewing Pokemon will enjoy an increased spawn rate. Some lucky trainers can also encounter its shiny variant. The event also sports various event bonuses, exclusive Special Research, a featured attack, bonus raid battles, and more.

Schedule and event bonuses

Sewaddle is the featured Pokemon (Image via Niantic)

The Sewaddle Community Day takes place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 2 pm local time to 5 pm local time. The event bonuses are as follows:

2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event.
2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day. [from 2 pm local time to 10 pm local time]
Trades will require 50% less Stardust. [from 2 pm local time to 10 pm local time]

Featured Pokemon and Attack

The featured pocket monster that will appear at an increased spawn rate during this event is Sewaddle. Lucky trainers can also encounter the shiny variant.

Evolving Swadloon between 2 pm local time and 10 pm local time will reward trainers with a Leavanny that knows the Fast Attack, Shadow Claw. The attack has 9 power in Trainer Battles and 6 power in Gyms and raids.

Special Research and bonus raids

The Community Day-exclusive Special Research is available for US$1.00. Four-star bonus raids are available from 5 pm local time to 10 pm local time featuring Swadloon. Once defeated, Sewaddle will spawn around that particular gym for half an hour. Event-themed Field Research tasks will also be available.
