Shadow Vibrava is one of the many Shadow Pokemon available in Pokemon GO. The upcoming Adventure Week: Taken Over event is bringing the Pocket Monster into the game as one of its Three-Star Raid Bosses that players can challenge. Shadow Vibrava can be fought from August 8, 2024, until August 12, 2024.

Many players will eagerly hop on the chance to add Shadow Vibrava to their collection, with hopes of evolving it into Flygon to use in the competitive scene. However, trainers may need to know a few things about the critter before jumping head-first into its Shadow Raid Battle.

What is super-effective against Shadow Vibrava in Pokemon GO?

As a Dragon- and Ground-type Pokemon, Vibrava takes super-effective damage from Fairy-, Dragon-, and Ice-type attacks. Of these elements, Ice is the most effective, dealing 256% damage to the Pocket Monster. This is because both of the critter's types are weak to the Ice element.

Shadow Vibrava's stat distribution and moveset in Pokemon GO

As a Three-Star Raid Boss in Pokemon GO, Shadow Vibrava has the following stats:

  • Combat Power: 6,749
  • Attack: 134
  • Defense: 99
  • Fast Attacks: Mud Shot, Dragon Breath, and Sand Attack
  • Charged Attacks: Sand Tomb, Bulldoze, Bug Buzz, Scorching Sands, Frustration, and Return

Once the battle begins, players will have three minutes to take down Shadow Vibrava. Given the Pocket Monster's overall low bulk, small groups of trainers should be able to take it down with relative ease.

Can you solo Shadow Vibrava raids in Pokemon GO?

With its low defense being made even lower with the Shadow Boost, it is very possible to take down Shadow Vibrava with just one player.

However, they will need to have some decent creatures if they want to do so, as the Pocket Monster still can deal some heavy damage to unprepared parties. Trainers opting to compete in these raids solo will want to have some Max Revives on hand just in case.
