Pokemon GO Slumbering Sands: Schedule, event bonus, and more

Pokemon GO Slumbering Sands has rolled into the game, marking the debut of Visor Slakoth, Visor Vigoroth, and Visor Slaking. Trainers will have a chance to see surprise encounters through photobombings during snapshots. Event-themed Field Research tasks are also available with various Pocket Monsters featured as reward encounters.

Pokemon GO Slumbering Sands schedule, debuts, and event bonus

Slumbering Sands runs from Friday, June 7, 2024, at 10 am local time to Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 8 pm local time. Apart from Visor-themed Slakoth, Vigoroth, and Slaking, Shiny Komala also makes its Pokemon GO debut in the event.

The event bonus is as follows:

Pokemon GO Slumbering Sands Timed Research and Field Research

Event-themed Field Research tasks are available during Slumbering Sands. They are as follows:

• Catch 10 Pokemon - Drowzee encounter [shiny encounter available], Oranguru encounter [shiny encounter available], or Sandygast encounter
• Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokemon - Psyduck encounter [shiny encounter available], or Mareep encounter [shiny encounter available]
• Make 3 Great Throws - Komala encounter [shiny encounter available]
• Spin 10 PokeStops or Gyms - Visor Slakoth encounter [shiny encounter available] or Komala encounter [shiny encounter available]
• Take snapshots of 3 different wild Pokemon - Visor Slakoth encounter [shiny encounter available]

Those trainers who connect a Pokemon GO Plus + with their GO account will be privy to a special Timed Research. The event-exclusive questline is available until Friday, June 14, 2024, at 8 pm local time.

A paid Slumbering Sands Timed Research is also available for the price of US$2.00 (or the same in the player's local currency). An event-themed Collection Challenge is available too.
